These visits fall into two categories:
a) Visits within the locality of school while doing project work e.g. to the park, library, shops, Church.
b) Visits involving transport.
Parental approval will be required for the child’s participation in all out of school activities at the beginning of each school year.
There will be no charge for your child’s involvement in educational visits, although a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the visits may be suggested.
Governors will be informed prior to all visits involving transport.
It was a bit foggy at Tynemouth but we still had fun on the beach. We managed to build super sandcastles and a wonderful mermaid. Some of the packed lunches got a bit sandy. Everyone enjoyed looking around the aquarium and we all learnt some interesting facts....

Ten Year 1 pupils went to St. Mary's Cathedral to celebrate mass with schools from across the diocese. Two children presented our gift of £150 for St. Cuthbert's Care, raised at our sponsored event.

Year 1 had an amazing day at Beamish exploring transport, the town, village and mine. They also took part in an Engineering workshop!

We all took an active part in our multi-skills session, with activities led by the Year 9 students. It was fun to meet new friends, and old, from some of the other Catholic schools in Gateshead. Thanks to everyone at Cardinal Hume who made our afternoon so enjoyable....
We had a great day at Gibside, enjoying the Christmas reindeer trail, toasting marshmallows in the woods and having lots of fresh air. Thanks to everyone who could come to help on the day.
Today we were invited to Birtley library to receive our BookTrust pack. We listened to The Bumblebear story by Nadia Shireen. We enjoyed our visit very much and to say thank you, we sang one of the songs from our nativity. Anyone want to make some Bumblebear honey...
We had a super visit to the library. Judith kindly read us two stories and then we chose a book each to bring back to school.
